Ophthalmology

Montana Equine is prepared to diagnose and treat most types of conditions affecting the eyes of horses. We have special equipment such as sub-palpebral lavage systems, and perform advanced surgeries including laser therapy and cryotherapy. We routinely provide care for patients with corneal ulcers or other trauma. We see many patients with uveitis (including “moon blindness”), and provide medical and surgical therapies for this condition. Whenever indicated, referral to a full-time ophthalmology specialist is also available.
