Geriatric Medicine

Aging horses experience many of the same problems as aging people. So there are special veterinary considerations for care of older horses. Our team at Montana Equine is well-equipped and very experienced in the practice of geriatric medicine. Just like in other life phases, an ounce of prevention is critical. Routine dental care, careful dietary management, and appropriate exercise can minimize serious condition like arthritis and colic and choke, especially in older horses.
