Montana Equine is well-equipped to provide all types of medical and surgical management. Many cases of colic can be managed medically, but our surgery team is always ready, day or night. After a complete exam, we will provide complete assessment of possible treatment options so that you can make a well-informed decision.

Should your horse’s condition require surgery, our surgical suite is equipped with up-to-date monitoring to best maintain safe anesthesia, even on sick patients. Modern surgical techniques mean than most horses quickly return to full work after most colic episodes, whether medical or surgical treatment is necessary. Our lead surgeon and support team are available 24 hours a day to help correct both large and small intestinal problems.

With or without surgery, your horse can be monitored in our ICU facility 24 hours a day. We have a highly-trained overnight staff including an on-site veterinarian, so we are able to provide the best in intensive care for your horse 24 hours a day
