| Problematic Puncture - smaller than a finger tip! |
Wounds: It's not necessarily the size!
"But Doc, it was just a small puncture."
There are many wounds that you as a horse owner can easily manage on your own. One point to remember is that it's NOT necessarily the SIZE of the wound, but rather the LOCATION of the wound that causes a potential performance limiting, career ending situation for your horse.

Does your horse need a dental? Recent research indicates that routine dental work on your horse can enable your horse to chew its food better, in turn allowing for increased digestibility of nutrients in hay. This is true even for those horses that show no outward signs of chewing trouble and are in good body condition. In the long run, a dental exam will not only make your horse's mouth feel better, it can also save you money on the hay bill! |
